Prof. Cornelius Puschmann from the Lab for Digital Communication and Information Diversity (DCID) will give a lecture at the WIN Conference.

On September 11, 2024, ZeMKI member Patrick Zerrer successfully completed his doctoral colloquium - congratulations! The title of the dissertation is “Political action and news use of the Fridays for Future Movement in Germany”.

The INDI - Informed by Influencers project will be presented at the “Wisscomm Connected” conference in Berlin on September 11 and 12, 2024. The event is organized by the “Transfer Unit Science Communication” and funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The “Wisscomm Connected” conference aims to bring together practice and research in science communication in order to promote exchange and networking.

For two days, the Bredbeck Estate in the district of Osterholz was dedicated to the further development of the research strategy of the Centre for Media, Communication and Information Research (ZeMKI) at the University of Bremen. The Lab for Digital Communication and Information Diversity at the University of Bremen is pleased to participate in the "Qualitative Digital Methods" conference (September 9-10) at Ruhr University Bochum.

On August 29, 2024, Miira Hill presented a joint paper with Luisa Runge and Christian Katzenbach at the 16th Conference of the European Sociological Association (ESA) in Porto.

Prof. Dr. Cornelius Puschmann and Patrick Zerrer from the Digital Communication and Information Diversity Lab (DCID), together with Dr. Sebastian Stier and Helena Rauxloh from the GESIS - Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences, have published an article entitled “Politicized and Paranoid? Assessing Attitudinal Predictors of Alternative News Consumption” in the ‘Journal of Broadcasting and Electronic Media’.

The participating research institutions have announced a total of 18 research assistant positions (job scope: DFG 100%, FWF 75%) with the aim of pursuing a doctorate over a four-year period.
