On July 19, 2024, Dr. Miira Hill presented a joint paper with Patrick Zerrer and Cornelius Puschmann at the EASST-4S Conference in Amsterdam.

A new paper by Patrick Zerrer and Cornelius Puschmann from the DCID Lab together with ZeMKI members Philipp Krieter and Stephanie Geise investigates mobile keyword tracking as a privacy-friendly data source in mobile media research.

The Centre for Media, Communication and Information Research (ZeMKI) at the University of Bremen, together with the Leibniz Institute for Media Research | Hans Bredow Institute (HBI) in Hamburg and other research institutions in Graz and Vienna, has successfully acquired a Research Unit from the German Research Foundation (DFG) on the topic of "Communicative Artificial Intelligence (ComAI)”.

Luisa Runge (M2C Institute for Applied Media Research, Bremen University of Applied Sciences) and Miira Hill (DCID, ZeMKI) have qualified for the conference “Intertwining and Rethinking Digitalization, Society, and Co-Worlds from a Queer Feminist Perspective” at Leibniz University Hannover with their contribution “Queer Feminist Perspectives on TikTok: A Critical Analysis of Sexism and Platform Governance.”

The Digital Communication and Information Diversity (DCID) Lab, headed by Prof Cornelius Puschmann, will be represented with four contributions at the 74th annual conference of the International Communication Association (ICA) in Australia.

This year's annual conference of the International Communications Association (ICA) will take place in Goald Cost, Australia, from June 20 to 24. The ZeMKI will be represented with numerous contributions and ZeMKI members will present research at the institute.
