From February 10–12, Prof. Cornelius Puschmann and Yuru Li from the DCID Lab are participating in the BIDT-LMU Joint Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Counter-Speech in Munich to discuss how AI is shaping online discourse.
Organized by the Bavarian Research Institute for Digital Transformation (BIDT) and Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich (LMU), the workshop explores key challenges and opportunities, including AI’s role in detecting harmful speech, supporting counter-speech interventions, understanding user perspectives, and shaping digital regulation. Representing the DCID Lab of the ZeMKI Institute at the University of Bremen, Puschmann and Li are presenting on AI and the detection of online incivility, as well as AI-driven counter-speech interventions.
