On Wednesday, January 21, 2026, ZeMKI, the Center for Media, Communication, and Information Research, together with Radio Bremen/Bremen Zwei and the Bremen Press Club as cooperation partners, hosted the ZeMKI Media Talks on the topic: “And tomorrow the world will not end (?). How the media communicates about crises.”
The guest was Deutschlandfunk journalist Ann-Kathrin Büüsker, who discussed the challenges and responsibilities of crisis communication with Prof. Dr. Stephanie Geise (ZeMKI). Questions such as “How can the media inform without causing alarm?” and “How can complex crises be understood without promoting resignation or apathy?” were discussed from a journalistic and scientific perspective on crisis communication.
The complete media discussion is now available on YouTube and can be accessed here.
