ZeMKI’s new introductory video is now online and offers insights into the interdisciplinary work carried out at the institution.
The video congratulates ZeMKI on its 20th anniversary and highlights the institution as one of the seven central research centers at the University of Bremen. Since 2005, it has also been a leading European institution in the study of media-related transformation processes at the intersection of cultural, social, and technical sciences. The research focuses on the emerging digital society, particularly the inequalities it generates, examining its historical development as well as the challenges posed by algorithmic systems, automation, and the increasingly data-driven society.
