ZeMKI member Prof. Dr. Christian Katzenbach was featured in a “WIRED” article from January 9, 2025, as an expert on the topic of Elon Musk and right-wing politics.
In the article “Elon Musk’s Quest for Domination Has Gone Global”, author Vittoria Elliott discusses how Elon Musk is increasingly intervening in European politics and becoming a leading figure in the international far-right scene.
She quotes Prof. Dr. Christian Katzenbach:
“These groups did not have many connections in the past, but increasingly align on opposing modern mid/left governments.” // “And while Musk certainly seems to be motivated by particular political ideologies, Katzenbach notes that Musk’s involvement in European politics could benefit his business interests, particularly by rolling back social media regulations in the bloc or opening new avenues for his companies.”
