Sandra Kero in an Interview for WDR's COSMO-program

On 22 July, ZeMKI member Sandra Kero gave an interview for the WDR COSMO program „Beauty Backlash – Was das Comeback traditioneller Schönheitsideale mit dem erstarkenden Rechtspopulismus zu tun hat“.

The discussion focused on the return to traditional values in times of social crisis, in particular the return of conservative beauty ideals and their role in right-wing discourse. They discussed how and to what end right-wing groups idealize a certain image of women and bodies and how these ideals are deliberately disseminated and staged via social media.
