As part of the annual conference of the Passau Young Researchers Excellence Centre (PYREC), Simon Sax will speak on April 29 about the concept of pro-democratic communication and its significance in politically unstable times. Using historical examples from the time of the Weimar Republic, he will illustrate the communication measures that were developed in response to threats to democracy. In doing so, he discussed the ethical communication problems of such measures.
The young researchers of the PYREC program will hold their annual conference “(Re)shaping Values in Science and Society” on April 29 at the University of Passau. The conference is an interdisciplinary forum that focuses on the active reshaping of central values at the interface of science and society.
